Ms. Biro and Ms. Cintron will be honored on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at WCEE’s annual gala at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington DC. Also being honored at the same event is 2018 Champion Adam Sieminski, the James R. Schlesinger Chair for Energy and Geopolitics at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Chief Judge Biro joined EPA as an Administrative Law Judge in November 1996 and was appointed as the Chief Administrative Law Judge in May 1997. She received her law degree from Washington College of Law.

Judge Carmen A. Judge Cintron was also an attorney at the Federal Communications Commission for 14 years. She became an Administrative Law Judge in April 1994 appointed to the San Jose, California Hearing Office with the Social Security Administration. She received her law degree from the University of Puerto Rico.

Prior to joining CSIS, Mr. Sieminski served as administrator of the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) from June 2012 to January 2017. From March through May 2012, he was senior director for energy and environment on the staff of the National Security Council at the White House.

Important information about your registration:

Due to the logistical needs of this event and therefore, our financial obligations, last-minute changes will increase our costs. To help us keep costs down:

*Online registration will close at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 13th.
*All registrations must be done online; we do not take registrations off the phone or at the door.
*WCEE welcomes substitutions if someone cannot attend. However, substitutions or additions to name-tags after 5:00 pm, Friday, March 9th will be hand-written.
*Requests for registration refunds must be submitted before 3:00 pm, Tuesday, February 27th but we'd be happy to have you send a colleague in your place! (The Hilton Hotel requires us to confirm and pay for meals on Wednesday, February 28th -- that's why we cannot refund monies after 3:00 pm, Tue, Feb 27th.)

We appreciate your help in keeping costs down. Thank you!
