Please join us for our Women in Leadership Holiday breakfast featuring FERC Commissioner Cheryl A. LaFleur. Ms. LaFleur has an impressive resume and we are pleased to have her speak on a number of important energy issues over which the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has authority. Commissioner LaFleur will also speak about her career and offer insight on how she came to the important role she now plays.
Commissioner LaFleur has more than 20 years’ experience as a leader in the electric and natural gas industries. Among her priorities at FERC are strengthening electric reliability and grid security, promoting regional transmission planning, and supporting a clean and diverse power supply. She serves as the FERC liaison to the Department of Energy’s Electricity Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the NARUC Committees on Electricity and Critical Infrastructure and co-chair of the FERC/NARUC Forum on Reliability and the Environment.
Commissioner LaFleur previously served as executive vice president and acting CEO of National Grid USA as well as chief operating officer, president of the New England distribution companies and general counsel. Earlier in her career, she was responsible for leading award-winning conservation and demand response programs for customers.
