Carlos Pachon of EPA's Superfund Office will provide an overview of EPA's work in the emerging area of green remediation, including an overview of the core elements of the Agency's green remediation program, its short and long-term goals and strategies, as well as its partnerships with other federal agencies, states and the private sector. As part of his presentation, Mr. Pachon will discuss EPA's efforts to develop a voluntary green remediation clean-up standard, its recently released Superfund Green Remediation strategy, and other related programs. Mr. Pachon works in EPA's Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation where he helped author the Agency's Green Remediation Primer and manages all aspects of its Green Remediation Program. He has given numerous presentations for domestic and international audiences on a variety of remediation topics, including green remediation.
