WCEE’s Lunch & Learn Series presents

Battery Storage 101

In recent years, energy storage deployment has grown exponentially to challenge the status quo of the energy industry. Traditional generation is no longer fulfilling the increasing demand for energy and flexible grid performance. Storage systems will help create a more reliable and resilient grid; enhance grid performance during peak times; and, combined with clean energy sources, can enable de-carbonization of the grid.

With advancement in technology, storage systems have considerably decreased in price and increased in reliability, contributing to an increase in overall flexibility of the grid. With compact battery banks on the market, these systems will cater to the needs of residential, commercial and utility scale customers, providing reliability and energy security when needed, all whilst improving the grid.

Join WCEE to hear from Kelly Speakes-Backman, Chief Executive Officer of Energy Storage Association, who will share with us her knowledge of battery storage, and the impact it will have on the evolving energy markets.
