WCEE’s Lunch & Learn Series presents

with The Water Research Foundation

U.S. Water Utilities: Incorporating Intelligent Water Systems

Remote Access/Webinar Registration Option Available!

While there are varying ideas of what an Intelligent Water System (IWS) may be, there’s not one singular definition. Industries like the electricity sector have been utilizing smart meters and grids for over 10 years. By incorporating these smart systems, electric utilities are able to offload some of the peak loads, and provide capabilities like pre-cooling homes to help reduce peak demand. The incorporation of IWS solutions and practices for innovative decision-making in the water sector can enhance the use of data by utility personnel and integrate information for improved utility operation.

Join WCEE and The Water Research Foundation to hear about the steps the water sector is taking to integrate IWS into the industry. Adriana Felix-Salgado, U.S. EPA, will discuss the policy landscape of the IWS integration process in the water sector and Fidan Karimova, WRF, will highlight the latest examples of IWS work at water utilities.
