Christina Lampe-Önnerud, founder and chief executive officer of Cadenza Innovation will discuss the unprecedented development of advanced battery technology and the opportunities this presents for future innovative solutions in energy production and storage.

Dr. Lampe-Önnerud believes there has never been a better time to be a part of a culture of real innovation, creating potentially great worldwide outcomes in sustainable jobs and climate change, and succeeding as an entrepreneur. She will discuss the expansive opportunities for new energy storage and battery approaches, as well as the challenges facing energy storage technology and markets.

Dr. Lampe-Önnerud will also talk about the opportunities and challenges she faced in the competitive energy and environmental fields, and share “lessons learned” along her path to leadership.

Dr. Lampe-Önnerud received a number of awards, including the World Economic Forum's Technology Pioneer Award in 2010, and is an elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. She has a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Calculus and a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Uppsala University in Sweden. She also held a postdoctoral appointment at MIT in Cambridge, MA.
