May 2015

By Robin Cantor

I am honored to be the in-coming WCEE president. WCEE is a great organization supported by more than two dozen sponsors, our Executive Director Joyce Chandran, the board of directors, our WCEE Leadership Advisors, and our members. I’m grateful to all of these supporters for providing the foundation for an active list of programming that consistently results in nearly weekly events. With this magnitude and scope of programming, there is never a shortage of activities or a reason not to be involved and that is part of the reason why WCEE is so valuable to its members.

Seven Secrets of Wealth and Wellness for Women
By Robin Cantor

Most women understand the importance of financial planning, but many of us may not know all the ins and outs, the tips and tricks, the secrets to reaching our financial goals. To help WCEE members with these complex questions, financial planning experts Carolyn Ozcan and Beth Remick partnered with WCEE to lead a brown bag luncheon on January 29, 2015, addressing financial planning with a focus on women. WCEE thanks BRG for providing their facilities for the event.
Here’s mine.

Opinion: Send Me Your Resume
By Branko Terzic

I get a lot of resumes. Some I ask for and others just are sent to me. Frequently, I see problems. As a disclaimer, please note that I would never present myself as a resume expert. There are books and people out there that provide solid advice and should be consulted. But I am probably typical of many senior executives who see a lot of resumes. Here are some of my observations about what I often see needing attention in the areas of format and information on resumes
